Yesenia Benavidez is the Library’s Social Services Coordinator. She works directly with patrons, listening to their needs, referring them to community and legal resources, and helping them connect the dots. Her services are available for free by appointment in English and Spanish.

The Addison Public Library’s Department of Justice Recognition is inactive. While our status is inactive, we cannot give any legal immigration advice. If you are in need of legal immigration advice, we can help you locate an Accredited Representative at another organization.

Lifelong Learning

Exam Proctoring

As part of our mission to promote lifelong learning, the library offers exam proctoring to Addison Public Library cardholders. Exams are administered by appointment only and applications for proctoring must be submitted at least seven days in advance.

Earn your High School Diploma

Career Online High School (COHS) offers adults the opportunity to complete their high school education and earn a diploma from home. The Addison Public Library has purchased a limited number of scholarships for adults who are looking to advance their careers, prepare for workforce entry, or continue their education at no cost.

The library has voter registrars on staff! Whenever possible, our staff will register any qualified DuPage County resident who can provide two forms of ID (at least one should contain a current address). Call 630.458.3322 for more information or register online at ova.elections.il.gov/

Technology

Addison Public Library offers a variety of technology equipment and services to the public. Public computers for adult users are on the 2nd Floor. All computers have Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher. Printing and copying is $0.10/page for black and white, and $0.25/page for color. Faxing is free. Scanning to email or USB is free.

Creative and Sound Studios

The Creative & Sound Studios are a do-it-yourself creative space for music production, digitization, crafting, digital art, and other maker projects! The Studios feature technology and equipment, such as a 3D printer, electronic cutters, recording space, and more to inspire and educate a community of makers and creators.
