Frida Kahlo Exhibit Opens September 10
September 01, 2010
The library hosts a Frida Kahlo Exhibit from September 10 through 24. It will be in the library's meeting room on the first floor. Stop by and enjoy.
This Teacher’s Discovery Traveling Exhibit features the incredible paintings of Mexican artist Frida Kahlo.
Kahlo was married to Mexican muralist Diego Rivera but won acclaim for her own paintings, including many self-portraits. The beautiful reproductions, including life size photos, will be located in the library’s meeting room on the main floor. The exhibit celebrates fine art, women in art, and Mexican culture!
In addition to the exhibit, see the movie Frida on September 9 at 2 or 6:30 pm. On September 16 at 7 pm, art historian Michelle Mishur presents "The Art and Life of Frida Kahlo."
