Returned Materials Pile Up

How many books, DVDs, CDs, etc. are returned when the library is closed for a long weekend? LOTS!

Whenever the library is closed for more than one day, the returned materials pile up. Normally the materials drop into bins, but the bins would quickly fill and jam the outdoor book drops. So, when staff return following a holiday weekend, they find a pile just like this one.

These materials will be checked in as quickly as possible, but it will take some time. The check in date is July 3 so no fines will be assessed to materials that are due July 3rd or later.
