Browse travel-related magazines electronically through Libby or search the Flipster app for magazines that may not be in our catalog. Some of these travel magazines include:

Language Learning Resources

Prepare for your trip by learning a new language with our online resources:

  • LingoLITE: offers basic vocabulary training in 30 languages, perfect for travelers and beginning language learners. 
  • Transparent Language: allows you to Learn a new language with skill-building activities in the four key components of language learning: listening, speaking, reading, and writing. 
  • Pronunciator: offers lessons in over 80 languages, focusing on pronunciation, and teaches English from 50 source languages.

Explore our extensive online resources for comprehensive travel information and guides to help you plan your trip. 

  • A to Z World Travel: Contains 202 world city travel guides with travel essentials, attractions, insider tips, excursions, nightlife, shopping, culture, cuisine, health, security, language, maps, and more.
  • A to Z World Food: The world's largest database of food and food culture for 174 countries, including traditional recipes, ingredient articles, historical timelines, glossaries, and food quotes.
  • A to Z Food America: Offers 7,000 recipes, ingredient articles, vintage food labels and ads, historical "what did they eat" articles, how-to-make-food videos, and more.
  • CultureGrams: Provides information on countries and territories, including customs, lifestyles, and social conditions, with a special Kids Version for elementary school students.
  • National Geographic Virtual Library: A complete searchable archive of National Geographic Magazine from 1888 through the present, including National Geographic Traveler.

Tips for eBooks and Audiobooks While Traveling

  • Download your books before your trip, especially if you're traveling to areas with limited internet access, so you won't have to worry about data usage.
  • Create a list of books based on your travel destinations or interests. For example, historical novels set in the places you're visiting can enrich your travel experience.
