The Addison Public Library was temporarily closed today, September 12, 2023, due to a bomb threat received via our chat service around 2:00 p.m.
Thank you to the extensive efforts and immediate response of the Addison Police Department and the DuPage County Bomb Squad who conducted a thorough investigation and determined the threat was unsubstantiated.
The Addison Public Library has reopened and is safe for all to return.
The safety of our patrons and staff remains our top priority. Thank you for your patience and understanding during this time.
