The Addison Public Library Board of Trustees will have two open seats in the upcoming Consolidated Election, taking place on April 1, 2025. The two positions are for 6-year terms, offering a unique opportunity to serve and make a lasting impact on our community.
If you're interested in serving on the Addison Public Library Board, here are the key details you need to know:
- Tuesday, August 20, 2024: The first day to begin collecting signatures for a nomination petition. You’ll need at least 25 signatures from registered voters who reside within the incorporated boundaries of the Village of Addison.
- Tuesday, November 12, 2024: The first day to file nomination papers. Filing is done at the Village Clerk's office in Village Hall.
All necessary forms and additional information can be found on the Illinois State Board of Elections website in the 2025 Candidate's Guide (library board information on page 48). Printed copies of these materials will also be available at Village Hall.
