MLK Day of Service
Mon., Jan. 15 — 12:00-3:00 Large Meeting Room
For Martin Luther King Jr. Day, the library will be hosting a Day of Service to help our community! There will be drop-in stations to make items for local organizations, such as hygiene kits, baby blankets, greeting cards, and more! All ages are welcome. No crafting experience is needed. Snacks will be provided for volunteers.
- Baby blankets will directly support Family Shelter Service of Metropolitan Family Services DuPage
- Greeting cards will be distributed to Clarendale of Addison Senior Living and Golden Haven Senior Living
- Hygiene kits will be used at the library to offer immediate assistance and relief or for individuals referred to other appropriate resources. Depending on the quantity of items available, additional hygiene kits will be donated to DuPage Pads or the Kathy Paulsen Hope House.
