2025 is here, and the library is ready to help you tackle your New Year’s resolutions! We can of course help you read more books, but we also have resources to help you learn new skills, get after your goals, or connect with friends and family.
Check out the list of resources below to see what interests you!
- Learn or practice a craft like knitting, sewing, or painting with our craft and maker databases. Log in with your library card to watch free tutorials from the experts at Creative Bug or Craft & Hobby!
- Use a Museum Adventure Pass or the Explore More Illinois program to check out local attractions like the Brookfield Zoo, Chicago Botanic Garden, or Chicago Children’s Museum for a free or discounted rate.
- Build skills for the job market or work on your resume with our job and career databases. Log in with your library card to access databases like Gale Presents: Peterson’s Test and Career Prep, featuring resources for college and career planning, or LinkedIn Learning, which has thousands of online courses to build business, technology, and digital media skills.
- Check out a board game or puzzle from our library of things.
- Practice your home-chef skills or broaden your culinary horizons with our cookbook collection. Browse recipe books for cozy meals and international pasta dishes, fire up the grill, or step up your lunchbox game.
