One day we love to celebrate in Children’s Services is El Día de los Niños or El Día de los Libros, which translates to Children’s Day or Children’s Book Day. This is a great day where we celebrate children and their hopes and interests.

On Monday, October 18, 2021 at 7:00pm, Addison resident Tony Szabelski will present Ghostology and Ghost Hunting in the Chicagoland Area with fellow paranormal investigator Jack Chavez at the Addison Public Library.

On April 6, 2021, Addison residents will be voting to fill vacancies for 4 Addison School District Board Member seats. In conjunction with the League of Women Voters, the Addison Public Library hosted a candidate forum via Zoom, where candidates answered questions selected by Addison community members.

On Tuesday, May 14, the Addison Public Library hosted its first ever On the Table event, which seeks to bring community members and organizations together to discuss an important local issue and brainstorm solutions. The inaugural evening’s theme was teen mental health.
