Building Project News: Special Meeting Update

The Board of Trustees met on Tues., Mar. 5 at 6:00 PM for a special board meeting.

The Board approved a motion to pay the architects for their time going forward until a decision is made on the scope of the project. Once a decision is made, we can enter into a new contract with the architects, but until then we will compensate them by paying an hourly rate based on the rates that were agreed to in a prior contract with Product Architecture + Design.

The architects presented options for adding a space for the Perks & Possibilities Café to the project plan. You can find copies of the plans presented in BoardBook.

Because two members of the Board were unable to attend the special meeting, it was agreed that no final decisions would be made, but that everyone would consider the plans that had been presented and would come to the upcoming regular board meeting with the goal of making a decision on moving forward with a specific plan for renovation.

The next regular meeting of the Board of Trustees will take place on Tues., Mar. 19 at 6:30 PM at the library. The public is welcome to attend this meeting.
